Suffolk County Council have confirmed a road closure on Clapgate Lane between Benacre Road and number 147 Clapgate Lane. This will be on Tuesday 14 September from 09:30 to 15:30. The road closure notice says this is “Urgent – Short duration works for gully cleaning”.

It remains to be seen whether this will be enough to deal permanently with the problem, but even this small sign of progress is welcome.
