It was bad news for Ipswich today as we heard that Suffolk would not receive a penny in funding from the Government’s Levelling Up Fund.

With the Borough Council’s £18 million bid turned down, this is clearly a significant setback to our plans for a Sports Centre at Gainsborough and the regeneration of Broomhill pool. We and our partners will now need to review the viability of both these projects. While we won’t rush into any decisions, we will need to look again at how these improvements can be funded.
