Councillor Martin Cook Gainsborough ward, Ipswich Borough Council

I am humbled to have been re-elected by the people of Gainsborough for another four-year term of office.
Full Result:
COOK, Martin Lewis (Labour) – 974
DEMAJ, Albert (Conservative) – 602
PACKWOOD, Conrad Robert Smith (Liberal Democrat) – 71
YOUNG, Robert James (Green) – 150
Turnout 29.43%
I was honoured to see an increase of 238 in my vote compared with 2019. The election campaign was really hard work, but the bit I enjoyed the most was the chance to catch up with more than 1,000 Gainsborough residents, chatting about what we can do to go on improving our neighbourhood.
Ipswich Borough Council’s programme of meetings starts again from 17 May, so I and fellow Ipswich Borough councillors will soon be back to work at Grafton House and Ipswich Town Hall.
It doesn’t matter whether you voted for me, or even if you didn’t vote at all, if you live in Gainsborough it’s my duty and responsibility to represent you at those meetings.
If you have anything you would like to raise with me, please get in touch.
