On 5 June I launched my blitz on graffiti in Gainsborough ward (here). I can now report some early progress with seven Virgin Media cabinets repainted in recent days:

• Clapgate Lane, near Landseer Park
• Clapgate Lane, outside Safer Neighbourhood Team office
• Chesapeake Road
• Gloucester Road, near Benacre Road junction
• Gloucester Road, near Landseer Road junction
• Henstead Gardens
• Turner Road

I’m monitoring the other sites I reported and if needs be the team at Ipswich Borough Council will take enforecement action to get the job finished.

We don’t have to tolerate the scourge of grafitti in Gainsborough and we won’t.
